We are the British bookstore of the International Marxist Tendency. We strongly believe that political education is not the ‘cherry on the cake’ for revolutionary work. It is at the centre of everything we do.

As Marxists, we stand for the ideas of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Trotsky. These ideas provide us with an understanding of capitalism, and of the strategy needed to fight for world socialist revolution. That is why theory is vital – as the key to understanding the past, present and future.

Marxist theory is the cornerstone of the struggle for socialism. But theory without practice is sterile. The best way to learn Marxist theory is not in isolation and passively, but by putting these ideas into practice.
